How we think about distance

Location affects a steel package more than most people expect. Delivery cost is the obvious part, but the bigger factor is responsiveness. A shop close to the site can adjust a delivery, send a crew to check a condition or fabricate a replacement piece the same day. A shop three hours away cannot, regardless of intention.

Within San Diego County we take work of nearly any size, including repair and small scopes, because we can serve it properly. Outside the county we take packages where the scope justifies the reach and where our capabilities genuinely add value, such as coastal fabrication, seismic retrofit or architecturally exposed steel.

If a project is better served by a contractor closer to it, we will tell you. That answer costs us a bid and saves you a difficult year.
